Santa's Big Rock Show

The show begins. The lights go down wxcept for a christmas tree located behind the control booth at the center of the stadium. A large ornament emerges from inside the upper part of the tree and slowly travels down a cable to the stage. As it arrives, a rumble fills the speakers and the band begins to play. a scissor lift  and telescoping stair rise from the floor to meet the sphere as a door opens and santa appears. Intermission. The show resumes as the video screen above the stage rolls up and the drawbridge is lowered from the parapet by heavy chains. Santa walks out to the end and performs high above the crowd. Finally, Santa and the band appears from behind the stage on a choo choo train, which makes one lap on a raised track around the perimeter of the field level, giving 50% of the audience a front row seat. A grand fireworks display closes the show as the band plays "The Christmas Song" by Mel Torme. Part of the MPH Illustration Christmas wrapping paper project with Watermark Press.
